Cutler and Gross - The King's Man

Cutler and Gross - The King's Man hero image

British brand Cutler and Gross, founded in 1969 are ‘considered bastions of iconic eyewear...’ and their designs are found on some of the most famous faces in art, music, and film.

In 2015 Cutler and Gross announced their collaboration with Matthew Vaughn, director of The Kingsman series designing eyewear for the films, and last month it was announced that they would be continuing their relationship for the upcoming film The King’s Man, the prequel to the franchise.

The bespoke tailoring in the films reflects the appreciation for classic British Style which is complimented by the C &G eyewear. The new range of eyewear consists of 6 designs influenced by the plot and setting, featuring traditional aviator style frames and classic colour combinations.

The model 9001 was developed closely with the wardrobe department for The Kingsman. The model is based on a traditional Edwardian style round eye frame which would have originally been made from tortoiseshell and worn low on the nose. Using their specialised acetate techniques, Cutler and Gross created a model that looks and feels like antique tortoiseshell, with a modern-day comfort. Each model in the collection features the signature Kingsman logo on the temple tips, traditional domed rivets and are made from high quality Italian acetate.

The film it set to be released on 22nd December and features Ralph Fiennes, Gemma Arterton, Stanley Tucci and many more brilliant actors.
