We are excited to introduce a fantastic new, colourful eyewear brand to our collection at Bakewell.

Kirk & Kirk is a British eyewear brand inspired by their family legacy, that create some of the brightest and most colourful eyewear in the industry!

The Kirk family have been in the optics industry since 1919, when Sidney and Percy Kirk converted an old sewing machine into a lens cutter and opened their first London workshops under the name of Kirk Brothers. The brothers we innovators, creating the first adjustable nose pads, delivering their frames by motorbike courier, and helping other manufacturers set up their factories.

More than a century on, Jason and Karen Kirk are continuing these strong foundations and are industry leaders in adventurous and innovative eyewear!

Drawing inspiration from mid-century glass and jewellery, Karen hand draws the designs for each frame taking into consideration the endless sculptural possibilities of their bespoke materials. Following in their ancestors’ footsteps, Kirk & Kirk have developed their own acrylic and unique colour palette which allows them to make bold, lightweight eyewear. These incredibly modern designs are created the old-fashioned way from start to finish in one factory in France.

Proving an immediate success, these award-winning designs are now sold in 40 countries worldwide and are spotted on numerous celebrities on the red carpet.

‘At its core, Kirk & Kirk is a business run by a family with optical passion coursing through their veins and integrity and pride in every frame they produce.’
