We are delighted that from 24th August, David Faulder Opticians has joined Specs of Kensington.

This is an exciting new chapter, bringing two long established independent practices together with a shared commitment to providing exceptional, personalised eye care.

What Does This Mean For Our Existing Patients?

If you’re an existing patient at Specs of Kensington, very little will change. You may notice a few new faces around the practice, but you can continue to expect the same friendly team, high standards of clinical care and personal service you know and trust.

Bringing our teams together also means we can offer an even wider range of expertise, specialist eyewear and new services.

What Does This Mean For David Faulder Patients?

Your care will continue seamlessly. From the 24th of August, all future appointments will take place at Specs of Kensington, 185 Kensington High Street. The new location is just a minute walk from the current David Faulder practice.

There’s nothing you need to do. Your appointments, records and usual care will simply move with you.

Your patient records will be transferred securely to Specs of Kensington in accordance with all relevant data protection requirements. Our clinical team will have access to your complete clinical history, ensuring continuity of care and allowing us to provide the highest standard of personalised eye care.

Who Are Specs of Kensington?

Specs of Kensington was founded in 1984 by optometrist Daska Barnett, with a commitment to providing the highest standards of optometry and patient care.

Over the years, the practice has continued to invest in advanced eye care technology while maintaining our focus on clinical excellence and, most importantly, the individual needs of every patient.

Specs of Kensington is now a part of The Eye Place, a family led group of independent practices across the nation, founded by third generation optometrist Alex Kemp.

For more than 20 years, The Eye Place has built its reputation around delivering a “different level of eyecare”, combining exceptional clinical standards and advanced technology with genuinely personal service.

What Can You Expect From Us?

Bringing David Faulder and Specs of Kensington together allows us to build on what both practices do best.

You can expect the same friendly and personalised approach, alongside access to expert clinical care, advanced technology, and an even wider range of specialist eyewear and services, all delivered by a team who genuinely cares about your eyes and long term vision.

We’re also excited to introduce new services in the future, including specialist dry eye clinics, handmade frames and macular degeneration treatment.

We look forward to welcoming David Faulder patients to Specs of Kensington and continuing to care for you for many years to come.
