Holidaying near Bakewell and went in to The Eye Place as soon as they opened this morning, dealt with Jack and the nice receptionist as I have had discomfort in my eye for a week and had been misdiagnosed with conjunctivitis. Jack was kind, friendly and when it came down to the whole looking into a very painful eye was gentle and took is time to ensure my comfort, diagnosed with a corneal ulcer and advised what to do next. I wish these guys were local to my home, I would never fear the opticians again. Thank you everyone there. Highly recommended!

Really helpful staff - up here on holiday and had a disaster - I broke my glasses late on Friday rushed in and they were able to fix them even though the frames are quite tricky and unusual. Because it wasn’t possible to fully fix them there and then they didn’t charge anything. Nevertheless the fix is good enough for me to use over the next few days and drive home. I noticed they have a really good selection of frames. If I was living here I would definitely use them
