Established 40 years ago, John Carrington Opticians is located in Towcester a small market town in Northampton. John’s ethos was providing the best quality eye care to his patients, which included being the first high street opticians to have a camera to photography the back of the eye. Following in those footsteps The Eye Place group is focused on continuing this by introducing high end technology to provide the most thorough eye care possible. John Carrington Opticians is soon to become The Eye Place, Towcester.

I have no hesitation in recommending The Eye Place in Dore. My new glasses are the best I have ever had prescribed and every one in the practice has been great. I must give a special mention to Emily who has managed my “account” for the past 2 years or so brilliantly, excellent customer service, thank you ! See you next year for my next appointment 👍

Amazing child friendly staff. Couldn’t do enough for us. Jack is super professional & great at his job. Definitely recommend. Visited both Bakewell & Dore shops. Dore was our favorite, due to girls in shop! Overall experience - fabulous! Look forward to our return in 6 months.

I took my Nan for an eye test here yesterday, mainly because it's close to where she lives. I've previously took her to other places and didn't find the level of customer service there to what The Eye Place offered. My nan is nearly deaf and the optician was so patient and friendly with her it made her day. Would highly recommend!
